SUMMARY:Bird Monitoring Walk
DESCRIPTION:Do you love birds? Then\, join us at the Green Mountain Audubon Center for our monthly bird monitoring walk! \n\n\n\nFollowing our mapped monitor route\, we will search for birds in various habitats at the center. This is a great opportunity to build your experience using binoculars and listening to bird song. We will identify the birds we see or hear\, and record counts of their population numbers. \n\n\n\nBeginners are welcome! Binoculars and birding guides are available to borrow from the Visitor Center’s Gear Loan Library. \n\n\n\nThe long-term data we gather contributes to the eBird database\, which is available to a global community of educators\, land managers\, ornithologists\, conservation biologists\, and the public. \n\n\n\nAudubon Vermont: Green Mountain Audubon Center \n\n\n\n255 Sherman Hollow Rd Huntington\, VT 05462 \n\n\n\nThis event is free\, but donations to Audubon are appreciated. DESCRIPTION:Fellowship of the Wheel is hosting a Women’s Ride! This series happens one Thursday a month throughout the summer at Bolton Valley Resort . The group will meet at the Bolton base lodge to help you connect with leads and groups to ride with. Whether you’ve been riding lifts for a while or you’ve never put your bike on a lift\, Bolton has something for everyone and we hope you join us for a great night on the hill! Women’s rides are a space for she/her pronouns and will feature breakout groups of all abilities. Bolton Valley will offer special $10 lift passes for those attending the event\, please RSVP with the ticket link! (Note: You may redeem your VMBA ticket as part of this group ride if you have not already. Additionally\, there is a $5 fee for the mountain card if you do not already have one). You can also fill out the BV waiver ahead of time to speed up your ticket process. Participants can enjoy beginner\, intermediate or advanced terrain. Reach out to info@fotwheel.org with questions.
